The Guest House – San Giuseppe della Montagna is managed by the Sisters of the Congregation of the Mothers of the Homeless and Saint Joseph of the Mountain.

The Congregation

The Congregation, founded in Malaga (Spain) in 1881, was established by Blessed Petra of Saint Joseph, who, on the day of her beatification on October 16, 1994, was called by Saint John Paul II “A woman with a heart of fire.”

Mother Petra strongly felt the call and the impulse of the Spirit to make present in the world God’s merciful love, especially towards the most vulnerable and needy.

We were born to love the poor, care for the elderly, watch over children, and educate young people, letting love lead us to go beyond ourselves to welcome the homeless, supported by Saint Joseph, under the invocation of the Mountain. To him we entrust the providence and care of our hospitality, and from him we receive an example of humble service and availability.

The House

Located in a strategic position, just steps from the heart of Rome (Vatican City and the historic center), and easily accessible both by private and public transport, the Guest House – San Giuseppe della Montagna offers simple yet attentive hospitality.

We offer a lovely patio with a garden, complete with tables and chairs to enjoy Rome’s mild climate, as well as a covered outdoor area for smokers. Inside, there is a lounge with a TV, comfortable armchairs, and sofas—perfect for relaxing after a full day of sightseeing in the capital.

The house offers 13 rooms, distributed over three floors served by an elevator, all with an external view and equipped with a private bathroom, free Wi-Fi, heating, and air conditioning.

Breakfast is included in the price.

The property has its own private parking.

The house also features an internal chapel where guests, if they wish, can attend Mass or the Eucharistic Adoration with the sisters, or enjoy a moment of personal prayer.
