Where we are

The Guest House – San Giuseppe della Montagna is located at Viale Vaticano 87/a, along the road that surrounds the Vatican City, just a few meters from the Vatican Museums and a short walk from St. Peter’s Basilica.

Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza Navona, Trastevere, and the Gianicolo Hill are all within walking distance.

The Guest House enjoys an ideal location for those who want to explore the Eternal City. Cipro metro station, Line A or Red Line, is only 4 minutes walking away.

The San Carlo di Nancy Hospital and the Ophthalmic Hospital are also just a few meters from our property, allowing family members to stay close to patients.

How to reach us

By car

Currently, our address is also accessible by car. We are NOT within the ZTL (restricted traffic zone). However, we suggest checking your route before starting your journey.

It is possible to park near our address, in the BLUE parking spaces (paid parking).

By train

From TERMINI Station
Take metro line A towards BATTISTINI and get off at either “Ottaviano” or “Cipro“.

From TIBURTINA Station
Take metro line B towards LAURENTINA and get off at TERMINI. Then take metro line A towards BATTISTINI and get off at either “Ottaviano” or “Cipro“.

Metro tickets (also valid for buses) can be purchased directly inside the stations.

You can also pay the fare directly at the turnstile using a contactless credit card (tap & go).
Note: each passenger must use their own card. The same card cannot be used for multiple passengers.

By plane

From Fiumicino Airport:

  • Take the “Leonardo Express” train to TERMINI Station. From here, take metro line A towards BATTISTINI and get off at either “Ottaviano” or “Cipro“.
  • Alternatively, take the urban rail line FR1 from Fiumicino to Roma Trastevere, then the FR3 line from Roma Trastevere to Valle Aurelia. From there, take the metro line A towards ANAGNINA and get off at either “Cipro” or “Ottaviano“.

From Ciampino Airport:

Take the COTRAL bus to the metro station ANAGNINA.
From here, take metro line A towards BATTISTINI and get off at either “Ottaviano” or “Cipro“.
